Walk for Life | Alpha Center Friends

EVENT INFORMATION

The Alpha Center is hosting a Walk for Life event on Saturday, September 28, 2019. The event will take place at Alpha Center, with the walk route on the Sioux Falls City Bike Trail.

9:00 AM - Registration
9:30 AM - 5K Walk/Run Start
9:45 AM - 2 Mile Walk Start
11:00 AM - Celebration of Life

The event is family-friendly and there will be kid's activities, refreshments, music, prizes and more.

Registration is required for the event and the registration deadline is Monday, September 23. Walkers can register online or download and mail in a registration form. Registration fee is $25 for an individual and $50 for a family.

This event is a fundraiser for the Alpha Center. Sponsors of walkers can donate through the walker's FUNDEASY page or through the walker's pledge form.

The first 50 individuals to register will receive a free gift!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Who can participate?

A: Everyone! This event is family-friendly. We encourage you to get a group together and set a team goal! Strollers are welcome and the path is wheelchair accessible. If an ADA accommodation is needed, please contact Rachel at 605-361-3500 at least 72 hours before the event. Please, no pets.

Q: Do I have to fill out my FUNDEASY page and a sponsor pledge form?

A: It's up to you! You can choose to keep track of your sponsors through your FUNDEASY page, on a sponsor pledge form or use both!

Q: How much can I raise?

A: There's no limit - the choice is up to you!

Q: Do I have to collect the money?

A: Yes! Please do everything you can to collect the money prior to the event.

Q: How far do I have to walk/run?

A: You can choose to participate in the 5K Run/Walk or the 2 Mile Walk. The route will follow the Sioux Falls Bike Trail near the Alpha Center.

Q: What if I can't be there that day?

A: No problem! Mail us your sponsor pledge form and money, find a day that works for you and walk! We would love to have you to e-mail us a picture of when you walk.

Q: What if it rains?

A: This event will take place rain or shine, so bring an umbrella or walk on your own later.

YOUR SUPPORT WILL HELP!

The Alpha Center offers help and hope to those facing an unplanned pregnancy. Every donation allows us to offer FREE and CONFIDENTIAL services at our center. ALL proceeds from this event will go towards funding a strategic marketing campaign to reach more clients in the Sioux Falls and surrounding areas.
